Real Betis negotiated with Manchester United to secure the services of Christian Eriksen as a last-minute reinforcement after the departure of Nabil Fekir to Qatar, but no agreement was reached.
With the transfer window closing, Betis was in search of a midfielder to fill the void left by Fekir’s exit. The club initially targeted Giovanni Lo Celso and Dani Ceballos, but negotiations for Lo Celso proved complicated, and Real Madrid refused to let Ceballos go due to Ancelotti's insistence.
This led Betis to explore other options, including Christian Eriksen.
The Ajax side also showed interest in bringing Eriksen back to the club where he once played, but according to Fabrizio Romano, no formal offer was made.
Ultimately, Betis could not reach an agreement with the Danish midfielder, who remains under contract with Manchester United until 2025.
