Argentinian footballer Florencia Guiñazú (30) was beaten and strangled in her home in Mendoza. After the crime, Ignacio Agustín Notto, the victim's partner, committed suicide.
After assaulting and strangling Florencia Guiñazú, a 30-year-old player for the football team Argentino de Mendoza, and before taking his own life, Notto wrote and left a message on one of the house's windows where the crime occurred: "Call an ambulance. The children are alone."
Guiñazú, who was also a well-known influencer, was found dead in the room she shared with Notto.
Local media report that the couple often fought and had physical confrontations in the past, but unfortunately, it all ended tragically.
A neighbor noticed the message on the window and, intrigued by what the message suggested, knocked on the house's door.
A seven-year-old boy, one of their two children, answered the door. When asked about his parents, the boy replied that he had been playing PlayStation for a long time and even knocked on their room's door, but it was locked from the inside, and they did not respond.
The neighbor immediately called emergency services and the police, who discovered the horrific scenes. In the bedroom, Guiñazú was found dead on the floor with numerous bruises, and Notto was found in a closet, having hanged himself.
Following the femicide, the Mendoza team paid tribute to Florencia Guiñazú, who, in addition to being a professional footballer – also engaged in rugby – was an influencer on social networks (with more than 25,000 followers), a tattoo artist, and a hygiene technician.
