Inter Milan set a new financial record, earning nearly €200 million from the 2024/25 Champions League — the highest ever for an Italian club.
Inter Milan have made Champions League history, becoming the first Italian club to earn nearly €200 million from a single Champions League campaign, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Nerazzurri’s remarkable financial windfall stems from €133 million in UEFA prize money and an additional €60 million from ticket sales across their European home matches this season. Should they lift the trophy in Munich on May 31 against Paris Saint-Germain, Inter would pocket another €10.5 million in prize money, pushing their total earnings even higher.
This record-breaking haul nearly doubles the €101 million they earned two seasons ago when they also reached the final. It also surpasses any revenue previously generated by a Serie A club in the Champions League, marking a new benchmark for Italian football.
“We’re honoured to be in the final because we’ve earned it,” Inter president and CEO Giuseppe Marotta told reporters. “This group has been together with the coach for four years. We’re among Europe’s elite, and we belong here, with determination.”
Beyond the sporting prestige, this financial success provides a critical boost for Inter, whose ownership continues to navigate economic challenges and investment uncertainties. The extra revenue could help fund squad reinforcements and ease Financial Fair Play constraints ahead of the summer transfer window.
With a potential Champions League crown and a record payday within reach, Inter’s 2024/25 campaign stands as one of the most successful — both on and off the pitch — in their storied history.
