Lamine Yamal made history at just 17 years and 241 days, becoming the youngest player ever to score and assist in the same Champions League knockout match, leading Barcelona to victory against Benfica.
The young Spaniard scored a remarkable goal, later admitting it was the most impressive of his Barcelona career, matching another outstanding goal from his time with the national team at the European Championship.
Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand expressed his astonishment at Yamal's performance, sharing his admiration publicly:

Yamal himself described his standout moment after scoring against Benfica:
"It's my most beautiful goal so far for Barcelona. It came out well, similar to my goal in the European Championship."
The teenage sensation also humbly credited teammate Raphinha for his remarkable assist, revealing his intention was initially to score:
"I have to thank Raphinha—I tried to shoot, and he put it in."
