Lionel Scaloni has revealed an expanded 33-man Argentina squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Uruguay and Brazil.
The final list will be trimmed down by ten players in the coming week.
While the core of the Qatar 2022 World Cup-winning team remains intact, there are several exciting young prospects included, signaling Scaloni’s long-term vision for the squad.
Among the notable newcomers are Giuliano Simeone (Atletico Madrid), Benjamin Dominguez (Bologna), Santiago Castro (Bologna), Alejandro Garnacho (Manchester United), Nicolas Paz (Como), and Claudio Echeverri (Manchester City).
The only major absence from the squad is Angel Di Maria, who recently retired from international football.
