Manchester United are reportedly targeting PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. Manager Ruben Amorim is pushing for a summer transfer amid dissatisfaction with Andre Onana's performances.
Manchester United are preparing a move for Gianluigi Donnarumma, the current Paris Saint-Germain and Italy national team goalkeeper, according to multiple reports from England and Italy.
The 26-year-old shot-stopper has been one of PSG's standout performers this season, especially in the Champions League, where he produced crucial saves against Liverpool, Aston Villa, and Arsenal in the knockout rounds. PSG have already clinched the Ligue 1 title and booked a place in the Champions League final.
Donnarumma’s current contract at the Parc des Princes runs until June 2026, but speculation suggests he could be on the move this summer. United are reportedly looking for a new first-choice goalkeeper after a string of inconsistent displays from Andre Onana.
According to the British press, manager Ruben Amorim has asked the board to submit an offer for Donnarumma. The Portuguese tactician, who is expected to oversee a significant rebuild, sees the Italian as a crucial upgrade in goal.
Donnarumma joined PSG on a free transfer from AC Milan in the summer of 2021, but his value has soared since. PSG are expected to demand at least €50 million for any potential deal.
The Red Devils are reportedly prioritizing the deal early in the summer window, as other top clubs could also express interest if Donnarumma becomes available.
